About Abbie


Abbie Vandivere (nee Bagley-Young) is an Art Restorer/Conservator based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. She specialises in treating Old Master paintings, particularly Dutch 16th-17th centuries.
In 2005, she received her diploma in the Conservation of Easel Paintings from the Courtauld Institute of Art, London, England. Since 2007, she has been a freelance restorer with her own business - AbbieArt Restoration. Abbie has worked in a variety of museums and institutions including:

Netherlands: The Frans Hals Museum (Haarlem), Stedelijk Museum de Lakenhal (Leiden), Instituut Collectie Nederland, (Rijswijk)
United Kingdom: The Courtauld Institute of Art (London)
Canada: The Glenbow Museum (Calgary)
U.S.A.: The Princeton University Art Museum (Princeton), The Guggenheim Museum (New York)
